The newly revealed box features a darker, more striking aesthetic, with vibrant artwork of the new beastie Sun Wukong prominently displayed on the front flap, with what appears to be other images of the legend in various action poses throughout. The box sides also include the phrase, "What Will You Do When the Stories Are True?", beckoning back to the game's core theme of cryptids and legendary creatures existing just out of sight, waiting for a caster to stumble upon them and discover the magic innate in the world around us.

In a statement on the official MetaZoo discord, Shaun K., MetaZoo's Senior Director of Product Development, acknowledged the feedback from fans and stressed the company dedication to improvement:
