Convention Season Continues
With the 2025 convention season still in full swing, Charlie Hurlocker used this week’s MetaZoo Monday to outline what fans can expect at the upcoming Dallas and New Jersey Collect-A-Cons. Each event will feature artist signings, on-site product previews, and exclusive opportunities tied to the next mainline set, Secret Shadows.
Secret Shadows Arrives Later This Month
Charlie confirmed that Secret Shadows is on track to make its first public appearance at New Jersey Collect-A-Con, followed by a wide retail release later in November. The internal target is between November 22 and November 29, with November 24 cited as the ideal date depending on printer timelines.
He also clarified an earlier comment about a Monday drop, explaining that it was simply a calendar mix-up—release is still planned for the weekend following New Jersey Collect-A-Con.
Blister Packs Confirmed for Retail
Fans also received confirmation that MetaZoo’s blister packs are finalized for big-box retail stores. Distribution details are still pending, as the retailer will determine specific timelines and rollout plans.
While Charlie stopped short of naming the store(s) that may carry the blisters, this is an important milestone for the expansion of MetaZoo. With the end of the year looming, one can expect M2/GQL to give us a more concrete update in the near future.
A Busy End to 2025
Between Secret Shadows, the Prize Pack Series 1 preview, and ongoing convention appearances, MetaZoo’s final stretch of 2025 is packed with new releases and fan events. Both Dallas and New Jersey Collect-A-Con are expected to bring major reveals and community engagement opportunities ahead of the next phase of the game’s Organized Play rollout in early 2026.
