In the latest MetaZoo Q&A Session on Friday, February 6th, MetaZoo has confirmed that it is developing a comic as part of a broader effort to tell the MetaZoo story through visual media.
The confirmation was shared by MetaTwo's community lead Ben MetaZoo in the official discord where he previewed a snippet from the upcoming project and discussed long term plans for expanding the MetaZoo Universe beyond the card game.
While MetaZoo has not yet announced a release date, format details, or issue count, the reveal marks the first formal acknowledgment of a comic as a core storytelling initiative in addition to their formal longform stories that are posted to the official MetaZoo website. The Return of Classic MetaZoo Characters?
Original MetaZoo fans were happily surprised when they saw several familiar casters and creatures grace the comic panel. In particular, this is the first time since the relaunch that Rose Robinson and Adam Ackler have been featured in a visual medium. For many older fans, the inclusion helps bring back the universe that they fell in love with for the first time and is a great way to connect with the core audience of the game.
One question that is always poised in the MetaZoo News Podcast any time we see or discuss original characters is "Where in the world is Sam Sinclair?" and while he has not been revealed in this comic preview, the inclusion of Rose and Adam Ackler seems like a great indication that Sam is alive and well somewhere deep in the wild world of MetaZoo.
