Casters,
MetaZoo TCG used its recent First Friday community Q&A to outline plans for new accessories and merchandise while also addressing ongoing community questions related to marketplace visibility and in-person events.
The discussion focused on near-term confirmations, community engagement initiatives, and transparency around areas where MetaZoo's control is limited.
Accessories and Merchandise in Development
In their official Discord, Ben confirmed that they are actively expanding beyond trading cards in response to sustained community interest in additional product categories.
Among the most frequently requested items, MetaZoo confirmed that card sleeves are officially in development.
Plush products were also discussed, with MetaZoo confirming that the category is actively being explored and that an initial design has already been completed.
MetaZoo revealed that Bigfoot will be the first cryptid featured as a plush, aligning the merchandise rollout with the company's broader storytelling and branding direction.
Valentine’s Day Community Art Contest
MetaZoo also highlighted a community-focused initiative tied to Valentine’s Day. The company confirmed that a 1/1 Valentine’s Day Frogman artwork, created by long-time MetaZoo artist Lillie McKay, will be awarded to the winner of a fan art contest.
Community members are invited to submit MetaZoo-themed Valentine’s Day concepts through the official fan art channel, with the winning submission scheduled to be announced on Valentine’s Day.
Marketplace Visibility and TCGplayer Access
Questions regarding MetaZoo’s availability on TCGplayer were also addressed during the session. MetaZoo reiterated that while efforts to expand marketplace access are ongoing, final decisions remain with third-party platforms.
Ultimately, it is up the the MetaZoo consumers to let TCGplayer know that you want them to carry the new MetaZoo TCG product. If you haven't sent them an email yet, please consider doing so by emailing this address: catalog@tcgplayer.com
Convention and Event Focus
MetaZoo also outlined its approach to in-person appearances, indicating a strategic emphasis on events that align closely with the brand’s cryptid and folklore themes.
Specific convention appearances have not yet been announced, with MetaZoo stating that individual events will be shared as plans are finalized.
