Flex Decks: A Familiar Starting Point
The Showcase touched on Flex Decks — now familiar to many casters — as part of the foundational products that help new players jump into the game and experienced players run demos and casual events.
Set Releases: Water Aura in Torrential Tides, Dark Aura in Set 3
The team confirmed that Torrential Tides, MetaZoo’s second set, will launch in August 2025 and introduce the Water Aura type.
But the biggest set news came with a major reveal:
➡ Set 3 will introduce the Dark Aura type — expanding MetaZoo’s world and bringing powerful new strategies to the game.
➡ Set 3 will also coincide with the official rollout of Organized Play: pre-releases, Dynamic Decks, and Prize Packs.
Dynamic Decks: Ready-to-Play, Fresh Every Time
A major highlight of the Showcase was the unveiling of Dynamic Decks, ready-to-play randomized decks designed for fun, fairness, and fresh experiences.
Dynamic Decks include a caster, starter terra, aura, a randomized main deck, and booster packs for further customization. They’re designed to support casual and organized play alike.
Tournament Kits and Prize Packs
The Showcase detailed MetaZoo’s Tournament Kits, built to help local stores and groups easily host demos and casual OP. Each kit contains Flex Decks, booster packs, Alpha Promo Packs, and guides — everything needed for a quick start.
MetaZoo’s Prize Packs will offer players the chance to earn exclusive, regional cryptid promos — including serialized and signed one-of-ones.
Organized Play Infrastructure: Cardio Play Network
The Showcase confirmed that MetaZoo will partner with Cardio to power its OP network. Stores and players will be able to register, find events, and manage decklists through this platform.
