Casters,
Just days ahead of Torrential Tides’ official release, MetaZoo gave fans a closer look at one of the set’s most unique upcoming products: the Alt Art Box — a hand-painted celebration of some of the game’s fan favorite cryptids.
First teased with a nod to an earlier leak, MetaZoo’s Charlie Hurlocker joked during the MetaZoo Monday livestream,
That was followed by a tongue-in-cheek reference to the original red MetaZoo Base Set Booster Box's initial leak:
The box was then revealed in full, showcasing a cherry blossom-themed design created entirely by MetaZoo artist Jett Yates.

Inside the Alt Box is a four-card pack of exclusive textured promos, all illustrated by Yates. The cards feature alternate versions of:
Each piece was painted by hand in watercolor and ink, and all four cards are visually tied together by a shared cherry blossom setting.
Yates explained during MetaZoo Monday:

Hurlocker confirmed that this format — one artist handling an entire alt pack/box — is part of a larger plan for future Alt Box releases. When asked whether this would become a trend, he replied simply, “Yes.”
Original Art, Promo Texture & Playmats
The community also got a rare glimpse at the original physical art behind the cards. At Hurlocker’s request, Yates revealed paintings of both the spellcasting Loveland Frogman and a pizza-loving Sewer Alligator.

In terms of production quality / card finish, Hurlocker confirmed that the promos will be textured just like the last set produced in the base set.
To close out the showcase, MetaZoo revealed two new Torrential Tides playmats featuring Loveland Frogman in watery environments. One shows him mid-spell under a pastel sky; the other captures him inside a swirling, blast of aura energy.

As the community gears up for the full release, Hurlocker reflected on the excitement:
